Fancy Valentine

It's another snowy day here in Indiana. Seriously winter go home. Anyway I spend yesterday down in my craft cave and cranked out a couple more Valentines. This one I made started out as a card for Nick but then it crossed over into feminine world so I am back to drawing board for him! Either way I love how it came out.

This card was built upon layers. Lots and lots of layers. I planned it all out in CCR, starting with the base, the border, the print layer, the vellum layer, the cut out layer, and then the border of the cutout. I got my cutout heart from the Victorian Romance Cartridge and the rest is from CCR Basics.

Once all my layers were cut out I started building. I did use pop dots on my heart in the center to give it some umph and then folded up the corners on the center cutout to make it stand out. I really enjoy making my cards 3D and having that layered look.

Once it was all attached I went to my bling. I mean diamonds and Valentines go together like peanut butter and jelly. I also added some borders that I got for Christmas to finish off the look. I really love how it all turned out. Be sure to check back on Saturday February 8th, for our Cricut Circle Blog hop!!
